From our modern purpose-built premises we offer a wide range of GP and family healthcare services for patients in and around Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Our site provides information on our services, including how you can register and find out how to book appointments online or order repeat prescriptions online.

Consultations with the doctors are by appointments that last 10 minutes.

You may see the doctor or nurse of your choice, but it may be better to see the same doctor or nurse for continuity.

To make an appointment:

  • Use our online booking service via https://SystmOnline.tpp-uk.com (currently for 10 mins doctor appointments only)
  • For any practice team member telephone 0191 275 5710 or visit the surgery reception

You may book in advance for early morning and early afternoon appointments up to eight weeks in advance (one week for appointments booked online).

If you have a single urgent problem and you NEED to be seen the same day, we have a walk in session, Monday to Friday between 1000am and 1045am.  All GPs will be consulting in the walk in sessions.

Please make the receptionist aware if booking on the day is particularly difficult for you (for example if you work) and we will be happy to try and help.

Appointment over-runs

Occasionally appointment times take longer than expected due to the variation and seriousness of individual conditions. We ask for your patience and understanding at these times.

Late arrivals

If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment then you may be asked to make another appointment on another day. If the problem is urgent, however, you may be able to wait till the end of the surgery to be seen.

Patients with long-term illness can be issued with a repeat prescription. If you are one of them, and wish to order a repeat prescription you can do so in a number of ways:

  • The quickest way is by using our online prescription service CLICK HERE
  • You may drop repeat prescription requests at reception or in the box on the wall just inside the entrance to reception.
  • We can process your repeat prescriptions by post.
  • To request a repeat prescription by telephone please call our dedicated prescription line 0191 275 5712.

Please note the following when requesting repeat prescriptions:

  • After a set period of time, or number of prescriptions you may be asked to make an appointment for a review of your medication with our prescribing technician, or the practice pharmacist.
  • If your treatment changes then please take any unwanted medication to the pharmacy. Please do not bring them back to the surgery.
  • Prescriptions can be collected after 2pm two working days later (see table below for guidance).
  • YOU MUST ORDER YOUR MEDICATION ON TIME AS LATE REQUESTS MAY NOT BE GIVEN PRIORITY!
